‘Life’ costume designer becomes Jenny Beavan OBE and ‘Dunkirk’ star Sir Mark Rylance with Queen Elizabeth II honours
Hi Film Folk!
The BAFTA and Oscar-winning UK costume designer Jenny Beavan (who we chatted to earlier in the year) and actor Mark Rylance have been honoured by Queen Elizabeth II, recognising their contribution to the UK film industry.
Jenny Beavan, whose latest projects include “Life”, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Amma Asante’s “A United Kingdom” was given an OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire). Beavan’s work on “Mad Max: Fury Road” brought her an Oscar, Costume Designers Guild Award and BAFTA in 2016.
