BFI London Film Festival – Winners 2015

The 59th BFI London Film Festival has come to a close – with Danny Boyle‘s latest project, “Steve Jobs”, drawing audiences to the final gala screening.
Here, the Film Doctor team gives you this year’s full list of this year’s winners:
- Official Competition Winner – Best Film: Chevalier, dir. Athina Rachel Tsangari (also, Associate Producer for the acclaimed Dogtooth and Co-Producer for Before Midnight)
- First Feature Competition Winner – Sutherland Award: The Witch, dir. Robert Eggers – first wowed the audience & critics alike at the Sundance Film Festival back in January.
- Documentary Competition Winner – Grierson Award: Sherpa, dir. Jennifer Peedom
- Short Film Competition Winner – Best Short Film Award: An Old Dog’s Diary, dir. Shai Heredia and Shumona Goel – a portrait of Indian avant-garde painter Francis Newton Souza, revealing the cultural conditions for his work and its eventual eventual institutionalisation.
