Fun Fridays – Director’s Favourite Films – Francois Ozon
Hello, Film Doctor Friends.
This Fun Friday is a double whammy, as we have 2 Directors to “get inspired from”.
Danny Boyle‘s newest installment, “Trance“ is hitting the big screen as we speak, so we’re re-visiting his favourite films , amongst which are classics like “Apocalypse Now” and “Bicycle Thieves”.
And we are also turning to the great Frenchman, Francois Ozon.
His favourite director is Rainer Werner Fassbinder, who brought the film world the following :
- Lili Marleen (1981)
- In A Year With 13 Moons (1978)
- The Marriage of Maria Braun (1979)
- The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant (1972)
Ozon’s “In The House”, which premiered at the Times BFI London Film Festival back in October 2012, starts its wider cinema release in the UK today, 29th March.
