85th Academy Awards Winners
So the red curtains have closed and as prestigious film folk continue their partying (perhaps for days) Film Doctor can now tally up this year’s Academy Award winners:

- Sound Editing – TIED between Paul N. J. Ottosson (Zero Dark Thirty) and Per Hallberg, Karen M. Baker (Skyfall)
- Sound Mixing – (Les Miserables)
- Animated Feature – Brave
- Visual Effects – Life of Pi
- Documentary Feature – Searching for Sugar Man
- Live Action Short – Curfew
- Documentary Short – Inocente
- Animation Short – Paperman
- Score – Mychael Danna (Life of Pi)
- Song – Adele (Skyfall)
- Leading Actor – Daniel Day-Lewis (Lincoln)

To round up, there was no absolute big-hitter but in total Life of Pi won the most awards, totalling 4, all celebrating the excellent audio-visual experience the film offers, as well as the huge task of directing. Les Miserables and Argo came out with 3 each, Django Unchained, Lincoln and Skyfall all ended up with 2.
